Search and pre-purchase car inspection

Complete testing of the car body, electronics and running gear helps to identify the defective cars and reduce the risk of buying a poor quality car.

Detection of as many faults and failures as possible during the inspection allows you to not only to predict the requited expenses, but also to get information that helps you negotiate the price.

Step 1. Analysis of ads and photos

First of all, I search the offers on the market according to the specified criteria. It is not possible to make complete diagnostics based on the photos only, but there are many small details that can be considered even at first sight from the ad.

Therefore, if you’d like to buy a car that doesn’t have any crash history, was not painted and has low mileage, is it worth wasting your time checking the vehicle that has visible signs of past damage visible even on the ad photos?

Also, there is a public car database in Poland. In order to check any vehicle registered in Poland, you just need to know its number and date of first registration. If the seller provides you such information, you can check out the complete history of the vehicle (number of owners, regions where they live, mileage records, insurance and motor vehicle inspection) before seeing the car itself.

Step 2. Damage identification of the car body

Car body is the best “indicator” of car crash history. That’s why I start checking the car body and thickness of paint first. During the inspection I use a highly-accurate thickness gauge QNix 4500.

Even after small car accidents there can be deployment of airbag, breakdown of the body geometry and suspension, rust and corrosion due to the damage of corrosion resistant coating.

Not many cars successfully pass such checkout and can be sorted out after the detailed inspection of condition of the car body and its elements.

Step 3. Checkout of the engine and its parts

A special visual and acoustic inspection is held out to identify obvious malfunctions of the engine and its parts.

Condition of service fluids, pipes as well as any leaks, presence of non-original elements, nature and sound of the engine run can give you information about any defects that require repairs at the moment.

Step 4. Computer diagnostics

Further all electronic components of the vehicle are checked using Autel MaxiSys MS906 scanner which allows to read information of each car unit.

Besides existing failures, I can see the stored ones on earlier stages of the car run, as well as I can make tests of any actuation mechanisms such as ABS, for example.

Also, it is very important that the scanner gives you the possibility to compare the declared mileage with the data stored in the electronic units (not for all car models possible)

Step 5. Checkout the car in running mode

During the test drive is possible to test the automatic shift gearbox, clutch condition, damage of the body geometry or suspension, unusual sounds and vibrations of the engine under load.

Also, during the test drive there can be found any failures/errors in electronic control units that have been deleted before. That’s why after return, it is necessary to repeat the computer diagnostics of the vehicle.

Step 6. Endoscopy of hidden cavities

Inspection of hidden cavities in the doors, hood and trunk helps to find rust points that are not visible during the external inspection of the car.

The checkout is carried out by means of double-cam endoscope HAZET that allows to get a clear and precise image, to save photos and videos on the memory card for further detailed checking.

Step 7. Inspection on the vehicle lift

Inspection on the vehicle lift is the final stage, and it is done for the detailed assessment of each suspension element, bottom, sills, silencer.

Vehicle lifting and damage identification of the suspension elements are to be paid directly at the vehicle service station and it makes ca. 50 zł.

Step 8. Registration of the sale and purchase agreement

The final step is signing the sale and purchase agreement, car registration and insurance. All procedures are simple and clear. Nevertheless, there are small details that will help you to save your time and money.

I offer consulting services during the conclusion of the contract, car registration and car insurance. What is more important, I am the third party, I don’t support any of the contract parties and I don’t offer any registration, insurance or similar services.

I don’t give any guarantee either to the inspected cars or to its components (body, engine, suspension).

If you are going to purchase a used car, you should be aware that even the most careful checking cannot give an absolute guarantee for trouble-free operation of the vehicle in the future, but at the same time it helps to avoid purchasing bad vehicles.

Based on the individual needs of the clients, I offer 4 packages. Visits for inspections are carried out on a comfortable car with the ability to transport up to four passengers.

Which tariff plan to choose?

Tariff plans Econom and Lite allow to find and examine the car with minimal costs. In this case, you search, do initial checkout and damage identification on your own. After that, you invite me to make complete diagnostics of the chosen vehicle.

Tariff plan Lite, allows you to get the paint coating thickness gauge free of charge for 3 days. It will help you to choose the best car for complete diagnostics.

Tariff plan Optima  includes checking of 5 vehicles and assistance by making the item list for inspection. The given plan includes the following steps:

— You are looking for the car ads yourself and send me the links with the cars you like;

— I sort out obvious bad vehicles based on their photos that allow to see the signs of any car crashes, secondary painting or lowed mileage;

Then we go together by my car to see the selected cars. If the car doesn’t fit your demands due to its bad condition, we stop its inspection and go further to check the next option.

The advantage of the given plan is that we can inspect not only the selected cars, but also quickly check other vehicles at the visited dealerships. Thus, the number of really examined cars usually ranges from 10 to 20.

Tariff plan Premium includes all items of the tariff plan Optima and I perform searching the ads for you that correspond to your requirements.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by phone, e-mail or in such manner as it thinks fit.
